God's Amazing Grace

Jane

Scriptures: John 1:16 Psalm 103:8 Numbers 6:24-26 Ephesians 4:7 James 4:6 Revelation 22:21 Ephesians 2:8 1 Corinthians 1:3 Hebrews 1:6 Ephesians 1:2 2 Timothy 2:1 2 Timothy 4:22

There is a beautiful hymn - Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that save a wretch like me. I was once lost but not I am found, was blind but now I see. Twas Grace that taught my hear to fear, and Grace my fear relieved How precious did that Grace appear the hour I first believed. Through many dangers toils and snares I have already come Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home

This song talks about God’s Grace, the words resonate with many people and the song is sung in many different situations. The first line “Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me”, emphasises the thought that it is by God’s Grace we are saved. What a great and amazing thought this is. In Hebrews 1:6 we read “let us praise God for His glorious Grace for the free gift He gave us in his dear Son”. God’s Grace is an incredible free gift that we can receive when we repent of our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

God’s Grace is available for everyone. I Corinthians 1:3 says “Grace to you and peace from God our Father the Lord Jesus Christ”. The Grace which God shows us, gives us the power to serve, endure and is unlimited. A man called David, who had a strong Christian faith, suffered a stroke and was left paralysed down his left side, although his speech was not affected. David shared that it was God’s Grace that sustained him every day in his challenging journey and that this Grace was sufficient for him. God gives us the Grace we need in difficult times as we can see from David’s story. God’s Grace is available for everyone and all situations whatever they may be (Revelation 22:21).

It is through God’s Grace that God works effective change in our hearts and lives. Grace truly is a gift from God, and we experience Gods Grace because God is gracious. Through Gods Grace we are forgiven and can be transformed into new creations, resulting in the renewal of our minds and hearts. God show us Grace when He answers our prayers. Prayer and Gods Grace go hand in hand, one can’t work without the other. We live every day by the Grace of God and trust the Grace of the Lord Jesus to be with God’s people.

Prayer: May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His Face to shine upon you. May the Lord be gracious unto you and fill you with his peace. Amen
